We are proud to be a joint faith college serving Catholic and Anglican young people here in Heywood. The message of Christ is at the very heart of the education we look to provide here at Holy Family instilling the values of Faith, Integrity, Compassion, Perseverance and Community in our young people. As our mission says, we believe in the uniqueness of every young person and strive to meet their needs, in terms of a varied learning experience, but also in terms of supportive pastoral care that we believe brings out the best in all.

Staff work hard to ensure that the students of Holy Family leave us knowing their place in God’s world and ready to make a difference. Our school is firmly rooted in our shared belief in God and it is this faith that enables our students to achieve to the best of their ability in all that they do.

The young people in our care continue to perform exceptionally well and I am extremely proud of their hard work this year. Yet again the number of students achieving 4+ and 5+ in their final exams were above the national average for secondary schools. Our Progress 8 score also continues to improve, and we are so proud of the achievements of our students.

Our development priorities are to promote the distinct Christian culture of our school by having a living mission; ensure the curriculum we provide is ambitious and meets the knowledge and cultural capital our students need; continue to focus on our outcomes in all aspects of school life and refine the effectiveness of leadership at all levels so that we have a positive impact on the outcomes of our students.

 
As a College we are extremely popular and continue to be oversubscribed. This is as a result of the hard work, dedication and commitment of all staff here to ensure our young people can excel. I am in the enviable position of leading an amazing set of staff and students. Holy Family College is an incredible place to be and I am honoured to be its Headteacher. I hope you too are able to see what Holy Family has to offer.
